Santa's Launch

The countdown clock at Flight Command now shows just 175 days until Santa’s launch and big steps are being taken to get things ready.

Test flights of Santa’s sleigh resume today somewhere west of Hawaii. They will push east – on a fast trajectory – over the next several days as the high speed capabilities of Santa’s sleigh will be tested this week.

The sleigh will fly empty first. They want to test how well it maneuvers at high speeds.

Some have sent in questions about the reindeer teams assigned to the test flights. They are asking if Rudolph, Donner, Blitzen and Vixen are staying on after their service with the Team Red and Team Pink competition of recent weeks.

The answer is no – all of Santa’s A-team of reindeer have been excused to return to their homelands and families until it is time for them to return sometime in the fall.

Other reindeer, such as Trixie, the Mighty Mick, Thor and Pokey, WILL return to duty as test flight reindeer.

All of Santa’s reindeer, regardless of their assignment status, are healthy at this time.

As a reminder, the tracking map of Santa’s sleigh has been activated at SantaTrackers.net, for those elves authorized to follow along.

Thank you for answering my questions, Elf Meg! I want to say thank you for their hard work to all of the red and pink team reindeer. Please rest a lot. I’m happy that Vixen is well and returns to her homeland! The test flights are still around Hawaii; I enjoy checking it on the map daily. I hope the backup team, who are Trixie, Mighty, Thor, Pokey, etc., can greatly utilize their experiences for the test flights. I believe they will bring amazing stories this year, too!
I’m looking forward to hearing the update soon! XD
