New Sleigh Designs in Development
A recent post shared at SantaUpdate.com by Elf Trixie revealed news of a radical new sleigh design being considered by Santa.
We want to clarify some things about this project.
First, it is in the very early stages of development. While all the details shared in the post are accurate we cannot say right now whether this new design will be ready or even tested this year.
Second, the original flight plans, developed in February 2024, included a slight redesign of last year’s record-setting sleigh. As of right now, that is still the go-to plan for this year.
Flight tests of new sleighs, regardless of design, are scheduled to begin around the first week of June.
This is very traditional. The tests generally go right up until Christmas Eve.
As decisions are made about Santa’s sleigh we will release official news as developments progress.

Thank you always, Elf Meg! Thank you to designers and makers for a new sleigh every year. Did the designed Santa sleigh last year already finish when the test flight started? If so, it sounds fantastic! I’m curious about how fast Santa wants to fly and what other goals he wants to achieve, and I wonder how he wants our tracker elves to work for him this year.
