Helga is Sluggish in First Tests
The test flights of Santa’s sleigh – currently over Sector 5 and using a version named Helga – have taken a bit of a dark turn.
The focus of the test flights since the first of this month has been on the performance of the sleigh once fully loaded.
Elf Z, famed flight analyst and the Associate Director of Santa Trackers, has less than glowing things to say about recent test flights.
“The sleigh missed every marker,” Elf Z said. “Given the current results, we have to see major improvement in the next few weeks or Santa is going to have to make some tough decisions.”
The problem is once again speed – an issue faced early on when tests as the sleigh was flown empty were too slow as well.
“I think everyone needs to take a deep breath,” advised Elf Roger Star, director of North Pole Flight Command. “This is the first rounds with heavy loads. We haven’t made any adjustments yet. And because of the reindeer games we’re a little under powered in the reindeer department, which could be skewing results. We have some great ideas to improve. I think by the time Santa gets back next week we’ll have approval to build the next version of the sleigh so we can move forward.”
We will keep you updated on the new sleigh project.
