Debate Over Reindeer Games Schedule
The return of Santa’s reindeer is clearly happening earlier this year, due to the wedding scheduled at the end of August for Trixie and the Mighty Mick.
Because of that discussions about when to hold the reindeer games have started.
But it is turning into a debate.
Last year the games were held in October, which left a long period of time before Santa’s launch for reindeer to train, heal from any injuries and to practice well in advance of Christmas.
Many people prefer that schedule.
Others however say the lay off last year was too long and that the reindeer were bored for weeks in advance of Christmas. They are advocating for a return of the games to a schedule in mid-November.
The Reindeer Operations Department is working with North Pole Flight Command to come up with a good solution and, if parties can agree, we might see an early announcement of when the games might be held.
The Annual Reindeer Games are on a list of events that need Santa’s approval going forward. Due to the changes being made to Santa’s experimental new sleigh, several departments and most elves are impacted by necessary changes to traditional routines.
