5000 More Reindeer

Elf Victor, head of Reindeer Operations, after consulting with Elf Big Sled Ted at the Kringle Reindeer Center, has asked Santa to authorize the recruitment of 5000 more reindeer.

Their efforts to find those 5000 reindeer will center on the reindeer ranches that Santa has scattered about the world.

“We have on record better than 70,000 reindeer who can fly for Santa,” Elf Big Sled Ted said. “Another 5000 is not a number we can’t handle. But we have to find them first and get the word out that Santa needs them”.

If found, training and preparing another 5000 reindeer to serve with Santa on Christmas Eve will be a very ambitious project for the Reindeer Operations Department.

“We’re not sure how they will all be used,” Elf Big Sled Ted noted. “But 3500 new sleighs cannot fly themselves and we imagine that’s where many of them will work for Santa come Christmas.”
