Test Flights Headed to Sector 3

Test Flights Head to Sector 3

The test flights of Santa’s sleigh will head to Sector 3 in Africa and Europe for the month of September.

After a successful run of flights over Sector 5 in August, the test flights shift to a new venue for further testing.

Flight Command also confirms today that Version #3 of the latest design of Santa’s sleigh has been ordered. The Sleigh Department is constructing 12 new sleighs of the latest version to be delivered around September 4th. Version #3 features improvements based on test flights during the month of August.

Flight Planners note that Version #3 of the sleigh will have slightly altered lights which may change the appearance of the sleigh from the ground. They are very anxious to see if this improves visibility of the sleigh. Trackers in Sector 3 will let Flight Command know.

With the change of venue to Sector 3 we have also learned that the North Pole Navy will reposition three ships to support test flight operations. The SS Snowball, the SS Tannenbaum, and the SS Rudolph have been assigned to reposition – the Tannenbaum to the North Atlantic, the Snowball to the Mediterranean Sea, and the Rudolph to the Arabian Sea.

Flight Command has not provided an update on the status of the test flight pilots or reindeer but we expect a report on that soon.

According to Flight Command leadership the test flights are progressing on track.
