Why Mexico Was Passed Over Again

Officials from the Department of State at North Pole Flight Command are answering tough questions from the country of Mexico who wants to know why they were once again passed over as host to a Regional Tracking Center.

Last year it was widely rumored that Mexico was favored to have a Regional Tracking Center. Mexico has never hosted the Regional Tracking Center for Sector 5 and some there have been upset over that fact.

Elf Rusty Bells of the Department of State explained that there were great difficulties this year in finding a suitable location in Mexico. The location so highly favored last year now has a new occupant, a large retail store.

“Mexico has a festive and widely loved celebration of the Christmas season every year,” explained Elf Rusty Bells. “Of course we want to be there. Mexico is central to the entire sector, which covers all of Central and North America. The weather there is fantastic. There are so many reasons we want to be there. But it requires a lot of coordination, especially for a first-time host nation. We are hoping that we can continue to work with the government of Mexico in bringing their first Regional Tracking Center there next year.”

The process of securing a location for regional tracking centers is extensive. Even while new regional tracking centers are announced and opening for this Christmas work has already begun on the locations for next year.
