250 Days Until Santa’s Launch
Today marks 250 days until Santa’s launch and many elves are concerned.
We still do not have a new design for Santa’s sleigh for this year. Nothing has been built. And test flights are supposed to begin in about six weeks.
As we last reported a debate has raged all year about the new sleigh design. That debate has progressed but no new design has been approved.
A compromise was reached about four weeks ago. The design plans were sent to Santa.
But Santa rejected them. He did not explain why. Santa has not yet expressed any opinions on the debate. But for some reason he did not support the proposed design.
The Sleigh Committee has been hopelessly locked ever since – still arguing over the new radical design versus the traditional design.
Elf Roger Star said he has directed the Committee to settle on a traditional sleigh design that will receive Santa’s approval. At this late date Elf Roger feels that the new design simply cannot move forward.
A traditional design for this year’s sleigh could move the project back on track. According to engineers in the Sleigh Barn, a traditional sleigh design can be based on last year’s sleigh and could be constructed in just a couple of days.
That being true, the anticipated schedule of launching test flights on June 1 can still be met.
According to Elf Z in Flight Command this is likely what is going to happen. The calendar will determine the direction, no matter where the debate in Committee stands.
We will keep you posted.
