200 Days to Launch

Today marks 200 days until Santa’s launch and according to experts in North Pole Flight Command the project of getting Santa’s sleigh ready for flight is on track despite a slight delay in the launch of test flights.

“Our objective is to have the sleigh ready for when Santa leaves,” explained Elf Roger Star. “The countdown to that precise moment is on every official North Pole website. It’s everywhere here at Flight Command and at Santa’s workshop. There are a billion steps we have to take between now and then and we’re on step #20. It’s very early in this process. A lot usually happens in the months leading up to launch but this is why we begin test flights in June. It gives us time to work it out.”

The North Pole News Department has scheduled the first North Pole Chat of the season for Leon Day – June 25th, which marks 6 months until Christmas – to inform the world of the efforts of Operation Merry Christmas. Elf Crash Murphy, International Director of Santa Trackers, will host the chat.

His assistant, Elf Z, who is an experienced flight analyst in North Pole Flight Command, has said that teams are very confident in the new sleigh design and that the on-time departure of Santa has a 98% predicted success rate.
