Last Regional Tracking Center Opens

Elves at the Regional Tracking Center for Sector 2 in Taiwan successfully passed all tests with North Pole Flight Command today. They are officially open for business.

This was the last of the regional tracking centers to go active. All remote teams beat the deadline to be ready by August 1st .

The Regional Tracking Centers are a vital component in tracking Santa Claus.

They coordinate all North Pole Flight activity, all North Pole Navy activity and all tracker elf activity within their given sector. There are five sectors that span the globe.

Their readiness means information can now be flowing from all areas of the world into North Pole Flight Command where flight planners can help Santa put together his flight plan.

Elf Crash Murphy, International Director of Santa Trackers, will now put forth a plan that tracker elves in every sector can follow that will push critical information to the North Pole.

This information goes beyond mere weather reports (although those are important). Tracker elves will study local residences and public spaces, they will report on rooftop and chimney conditions, public transport, air traffic, ground traffic, construction and other obstacles that could slow Santa down.

Over the next five months an all-out worldwide effort will be made to provide Santa with the most current local information possible.
