North Pole Weather Worsens

Emergency meetings as being held as quickly changing weather conditions are making things worse for Operation Airlift.

Not only is snow piling up at a record rate but increasing winds have cut visibility to near zero. The sleighs of Operation Airlift, which are crucial to Santa’s delivery effort, can barely get off the ground in these conditions. The high winds makes piloting those sleighs a very dangerous thing.

With Christmas still a week away alternative means of moving elves, freight and other items have been utilized. Some elves have departed earlier than scheduled in order to give them more time to be in position for their assigned Christmas duties.

Freight – which at this point really means presents — is leaving by train instead of sleigh. But even trains are struggling to make headway due to the deep snow and high winds.

We anticipate to give a clearer operational report once those emergency meetings are over. But for now, it is safe to say that Operation Airlift has ground to a halt.

Please standby for more on this developing story.

Thank you, Elf Meg! I hope the trains can go with the snowplow. They have excellent equipment on Santa’s sleigh that can withstand any weather, so I hope they can arrange it for other sleighs or trains. Anyway, we still have a week! I believe we can make it because Santa will fly in any weather. Merry Christmas! XD

Elf Ulan, Thanks for being positive. We need it for Christmas to be a success. Maybe the north pole could build an underground railroad? It’s an idea that still needs some working out, but nevermind. Have a Merry Christmas!

Flight patterns are going to be tricky. Advice: keep the cheer alive, sprinkle the flight path so Santa and his reindeer can see the path, etc. (Do as needed)… This will make sure Santa can find the way.
