Sector 4 Gets a Regional Tracking Center
High in the Andes mountains of Peru is a city of significant size called Cusco. It has been named the location for the Regional Tracking Center for Sector 4, covering South America, the Atlantic and Greenland. Elf Tubby Ryder and team are already there.
This mountain city sits at an elevation of over 11,000 feet! That means lots of snow….in July. December won’t see that kind of weather. In fact, it should be an ideal place and altitude for sky watching – and seeing flying sleighs on approach.
Santa had his hand in this city selection. Originally it was rejected for the very reason why Santa wanted to go there: the altitude and the issues it can cause for both elves and reindeer. But, with an assist from Elf Seymour Snow in the Weather Department, Santa advocated for the location because there are many reindeer who come from those same mountains and he feels a lot of them will feel right at home.
A city of this size has the advantage of a strong and stable infrastructure, so power, water and Internet should be pretty good.
This location is also ideal for testing new radio technologies that North Pole Flight Command is hoping to expand in the future.
Congratulations to Elf Tubby and team. We have it on good authority they will be fully operational within the next week.

Thank you, Elf Meg! Congratulations to Cusco, Peru! Over 11000 feet is very high. I hope Elf Tubby and the team are okay with the air. It must be cold there now; I wonder if the air is concerned with the temperature and if they have some reindeer in the team. I hope they will work safely and smoothly.
I look forward to hearing the update! XD
