Sleigh Department Delivers 500 Sleighs

The Sleigh Department has confirmed the delivery of another 500 new sleighs to the Logistics Department, making a total of 850 now delivered of the 3500 sleighs Santa ordered.

These sleighs will be the new support vehicles of Operation Air Lift. These are sleighs who work around the clock before, during and after Santa’s launch to support Santa as he delivers. Their primary function is to reload Santa’s sleigh on a continuous basis.

What makes these sleighs different than what Santa has used in the past?

They’re new and they match Santa’s new sleigh. That means they have designed for the highest efficiency and the greatest speed.

Sleighs used previously in Operation Air Lift were not uniform. In fact, a recent inventory showed more than 40 different sleigh types of various design, all from generations past.

The new sleighs and their unified docking approach to Santa’s sleigh will enable what Flight Engineers call the HS-STS protocol – a method of high speed sleigh-to-sleigh transfer of presents into Santa’s sleigh. It is designed to work on the ground or in the air, an exciting new capability that elves and reindeer on training on right now.

Santa believes this will speed up his flight come Christmas. Others have their doubts.

Complicating matters is that Santa’s new sleigh design is being rushed during a six month period, a process that usually takes 3 years to complete.
