Sleigh is Ready, Reindeer are Not

Reindeer Not Ready

The Sleigh Department has delivered 64 new test flight sleighs, all updated with the latest modifications designed to improve the sleigh’s performance.

Not all of them will be flying right away, however. The test flight team does not yet have enough reindeer to fly a full schedule of test flights for that many sleighs.

The order doubled the amount of sleighs in the test flight fleet.

The Reindeer Operations Department has been working to certify and assign more reindeer to the test flight team in recent weeks. But the large order Santa placed took them by surprise and they were not ready to assign so many at one time to the team.

Sleigh designers and flight engineers in flight command snidely remark that “qualified” reindeer might need to be reconsidered. After all, the new sleigh is not hitting previous performance benchmarks.

“This sleigh is so slow Rudolph’s grandmother could make this team,” Elf Ace Garland, a flight analyst in North Pole Flight Command commented.

The new sleigh is ending the month of August with the worst performance record of any sleigh in test flight history.

Some on the design team are already advising Santa to plan on using a previous year’s sleigh, indicating that confidence is low in the new design and that many feel it cannot be ready in time before Christmas.
