Test Flights to Steer Clear of Trouble

Flight plans for the test flights of Santa’s sleigh appear to be changing. The test flights are currently over India.

According to several sources in North Pole Flight Command the plan was originally to send the test fleet over the skies of the Middle East for this upcoming week. But those plans have been scuttled and instead of heading west they will likely head east.

“We don’t want to be near any kind of military activity,” said Elf Roger Star, Director of North Pole Flight Command. “The State Department here at the North Pole stays abreast of current world events and they sent us a warning nearly a week ago, encouraging us to keep our test flights in safe areas. We appreciate their advise and we’ll follow it.”

It is longstanding North Pole policies to stay out of political affairs between countries. So the North Pole will not make any further comment other than to say that while the test flights are necessary to making sure Santa’s sleigh is ready for Operation Merry Christmas and that every possible effort is made to make it safe for Santa it is not worth the risk to the test pilots, the test flight reindeer or to the sleighs themselves to put them into any kind of situation where they could be in danger.

Elf Roger says that test flights can be done in other areas of the world at this time and that he does not feel the change in plans will prevent the test flights from being flown.
