New Sector Map Released

North Pole Flight Command director Elf Roger Star released a new sector map today to aid the world in tracking Santa.

“This new map has been simplified,” Elf Roger Star explained. “While our tracker elves and others who have tracked Santa for years will continue to use resources we have released in the past we present this new map today in hopes of making it simpler for those of a younger generation or newer to the art of tracking Santa to understand how the North Pole sees the world. Long ago Santa identified five broad regions of the world that he calls sectors. Each region is unique, each has many nations, and most have several languages. Santa’s work of making toys and gifts, then delivering them to the world every Christmas requires great effort. Sectors are one way of helping Santa to organize that work.”

Sectors are used throughout the year in reporting news of Santa, Operation Merry Christmas and the North Pole. Santa himself has said it is important for even casual fans to know what Sector they live in.

“It isn’t about countries or borders,” explained Elf Crash Murphy, International Director of Santa Trackers. “Sectors are literally the world sliced up like pieces of a pie. Santa does the same thing in all of them but knowing you’re in Sector 1 versus Sector 5 will help you understand the progress of Santa’s work and, on Christmas Eve, when you hear me on the radio, you’ll understand whereabouts Santa is and where he’s headed.”

Here is the newest Sector Map. We encourage those new to geography and tracking Santa to take this map to parents and school teachers and other trusted people to come to understand it:
