According to Flight Director Elf Buck Sanchez the aim of this announcement is to stir reports from tracker elves and the general population of sleigh sightings. Flight Command wants you to look for these flights and to report them if you can see them.
As of today, test flights of Santa’s sleigh are located in Southern California and Arizona in the American southwest. The flights will be moving north up the Pacific coast over the next several days and sightings will be possible in all areas of California, Oregon, Washington and British Columbia in Canada.
The metro areas of Los Angeles, San Diego, Bakersfield, Fresno, Sacramento, San Francisco, San Jose, Eureka, Redding, Bend, Portland, Seattle and Vancouver BC could see sleigh flights, especially at night.
Some areas east the Pacific Coast may also see flights during this time. Reno/Tahoe, Boise, Las Vegas, and Phoenix have good chances of seeing the test flights.
