Germany to Host Regional Tracking Center

Germany

North Pole Flight Command is pleased to announce the signing of the city of Hamburg, Germany as host to the Regional Tracking Center for Sector 3, which covers all of Europe and Africa. It is the first time in history that a regional tracking center has been located in Germany.

“Germany has many fine Christmas cities,” said Elf Roger Star, Director of North Pole Flight Command. “There were literally dozens we could have chosen for this assignment. But ultimately, being a port city, a Christmas city, and a large city with many perfect facilities, we felt there was no finer choice for this year’s mission.”

Elf Rolf and his team of elves have already departed for Hamburg. The facility signed does need some work done so a team from Santa’s Workshop is also enroute to Hamburg to help get the Regional Tracking Center up quickly.

“We hope to have things in hand to be able to open by August 1st,” Elf Rolf said. “But for all the visits already made we just don’t know what we don’t know. We’ll assess things and send Flight Command a more sure timeline within a few days.”

Santa is very popular in Sector 3. The tracking center will house more than 400 elves and support more than 4.3 million remote working elves in the Sector. So the needs are a little more robust than what is needed in the two other sectors already announced this year.

With this announcement, just Sectors 4 and 5 remain to be set up for this year. Santa would like them all operational as soon as possible.

Please stand by for further announcements coming at any time.
