Next Sleigh Version Named Gerty
Santa has turned in his flight reports from his test flight run and in the process has placed the order for the 7th version of the new sleigh, this next one code-named Gerty.
Fanny was a good model and the sleigh Mrs. Claus flew for the speed record on a test flight is headed for the Sleigh Museum at North Pole Village.
According to sleigh engineers at Flight Command the adjustments that will be made with Gerty are minor, with many of them focused on the sleigh bells.
More than a month ago it was revealed in a chat that a new technology called “Silent Sleigh Bells” was part of the new sleigh design. It is not known if the new technology is due for an upgrade in this next model.
What is known is that Gerty will be flown by teams of reindeer that are absent of what test pilots call “power drivers”. Power drivers are reindeer, such as Donner and Blitzen, who anchor the Santa’s sleigh on Christmas Eve. To have them not part of the test flight cycle means they will be using reindeer who have greater speed and agility. This would suggest the next round of flights might focus on speed trials.
None of that is confirmed but in speaking with Elf Z in Flight Command that is likely the strategy. For the immediate time, the plan is to keep the test flights in Sector 3 for at least another 10 days.
