North Pole Navy

The quiet role of the North Pole Navy gets little notice in the news media. But these ships are critical to Operation Merry Christmas because they support Santa in flight, assist with the freighting and warehousing operations of Operation Airlift, and the provide critical reindeer support for the thousand of reindeer that fly on Christmas Eve.

The North Pole Navy has been continuously at sea for four months getting ready to help with Operation Merry Christmas.

This week they are repositioning to be in places where they can best serve Santa as he flies. This is where they will be:

SS Jingle Bell – Flagship serving in the North Pacific
SS Snowball – Serving in the South Pacific
SS Tannenbaum – Serving now in the Gulf of Mexico
SS Donner – Serving in the Atlantic
SS Eggnog – Serving in the Indian Ocean
SS Mistletoe – Serving in the Philippine Sea
SS Frosty – Serving in the Bay of Bengal
